Good!
Nice and convenient phone. Since it's unlocked, works with our family plan.
Good price too!

Excellent!!!
If you're looking for a simple, but with all that you need now a days, hare you have it. Is perfect, small, slime, cheap, good appearance, easy to use.
JUST THE BASIC, no more, no less. If is just to call, sms, and some pictures is great!

The way to go
The Nokia 2630 is a good practical phone with a useful camera and speakerphone. There's nothing more useful than a speakerphone when waiting on hold. The FM radio is an added benefit although it requires that you have earphones handy in your pocket or purse.

I threw away my free flip-phone from the provider (actually I stashed it in a drawer) and shopped for a phone with the features I wanted. Buying an unlocked phone is a lot cheaper than upgrading from my service provider.

The Nokia 2630 is really thin making it great for a pocket phone. The best part is that it has no side buttons to accidentally push that hang-up on the caller when you reach in your pocket to get the phone. The sound quality could be a little better especially in noisy environments but I haven't found that to be a major problem. All in all I am quite satisfied.

Nokia 2630 review
This is a very good value for your money. I love the slim built and compared to the higher end phones there is not much difference as it relates to features.Gallery storage space could have been more but with that price I cant ask for much more. The FM radio is very handy although it would have been nice if the radio could work without the earphones. My coworker has a higher end nokia but she loves mine but I love it more.Lovely phone.

Good basic phone for the price. Not without blemishes.
I bought this phone as a replacement for my Nokia E51 business smartphone. I know this choice sounds odd. I just accidentally dropped my E51 in water and needed an inexpensive phone I can use before I can get a free upgrade from AT&T.

This phone is slim and build quality is good for the price. As for the low call/speakerphone volume, you can actually increase it (and it gets really loud). I assigned the "volume" function to one of the keys (Settings > My Shortcuts) and now can adjust the volume (even while you talk). Reception is above average.

What's not so good about this phone is its grainy low resolution low color depth screen. It reminds me of one of the first phones I had back in the early 2000s. And of course, its basic functionality and lack of many features. However, if you need a phone to make/receive calls, this little phone is right for you.

LG KF600 Review
This is a great phone--it definitely impresses people and is stylish. CONS: You always want to tap the upper screen, the screen is hard to see outside, there isn't enough memory for many songs unless you cut them down to 20 seconds each, and sometimes there are just too many buttons you have to push to do something simple. PROS: extremely awesome audio, great speaker, 3D world clock, lots of multimedia options.

Fantastic camera - good phone, radio, music player too!
This was one of the "show devices" at JavaOne meaning you could purchase an unlocked phone at a discount - due to it's extensive Java support. It's not a T-Mobile officially supported phone so it took a chat with Sony Ericsson support (yes, real live tech support for a phone!) to get all the SMS, web and data modem features working on T-Mobile. But they do work really well. This is a camera with a phone, FM radio, MP3, video, etc added rather than the (usual) other way round. With this phone I don't need to also carry a small P&S camera on trips. I can take macros of interesting products, photos of 8.5x11 documents, etc, and the sharpness and color is quite excellent. The FM radio is great. You can also record phone calls. The Java programming support of this phone is exceptional - it has a 32-bit graphics accelerator and Java APIs for anything imaginable. Sure there are some minor things I wish were different (time from call ending to the phone locking is too short, and I don't see how to change that) but overall I am very happy with it. It's a great all-in-one FM radio, camera, music player, phone which does all of those very well. I use the data modem capability frequently and at 115 kbaud it doesn't set the world on fire, but it's very usable for working on the go almost anywhere there is a GPRS signal. It does all these things better than an iPhone (which actually doesn't offer all of them) in my opinion, though the iPhone wins on its slick user interface and larger LCD. But I will take my TMobile price over the iPhone ATT-only plans any day. Bluetooth headset works well. Also the PC software for syncing, backup etc works well once you get the latest update from the Sony Ericsson web site.

The internal screen has an 800 x 352-pixel resolution--capable of displaying the full width of a web page at once--and both displays produce brilliant imagery thanks to support for 16 million colors. The integrated Wi-Fi connectivity (802.11b/g) enables you to make VoIP phone calls over an open network, and it offers a variety of security settings (WPA2-Enterprise, WPA2-Personal, WPA-Enterprise, WPA-Personal). When used with a carrier data plan and the phone's USB or Bluetooth data capability, the phone can also be used as a wireless modem for laptops and PDAs.

The E90's innovative built-in browser, one of many enhancements included with the device's Symbian operating system--known as Series 60 9.1 Version 3--offers full HTML viewing as well as support for page zooming, CSS, JavaScript and other technologies that will bring you very close to a desktop PC browsing experience.

The E90 supports PC synchronization standards via USB or Bluetooth, which means you can manage and synchronize contacts, calendars and other data with your PC. Nokia's PC Suite application makes this process a breeze. A number of handy software tools are bundled with the device, including a voice memo recorder, a calculator, and an alarm clock. Productivity tools bundled with the E61i include a word processor, a presentation viewer/editor, a spreadsheet viewer/editor, PDF viewer, and a zip file manager. Best... Cell Phone? Handheld?
This is definitely the best cell phone ever!
Of course this depends on your needs; however for business men as well as for developers, it is the best phone!!!

It's one of the only phones I know that has all connectivity options: Infrared, Bluetooth, WiFi (b/g) and USB (mini).

It's got a very fast 332 MHz processor with built-in 3D Graphics Accelerator.

Almost 80 MB free RAM for the end-user!!! (that's huge and prefect for it's OS; you can do lots of multi-tasking!)

MicroSD HC! (8 GB support confirmed; probably even 16 and 32 GB will work!!!)

The QWERTY keyboard is just perfect: takes very little time to get used to it and keys are big enough.

Both screens are awesome! You can play games, music and movies and read and write documents without burning your eyes.

It's 3.2 MP Camera is pretty decent (It's similar to Nokia N73, without Carl-Zeiss optics). It even records video at 640x480 at 30 fps!!!

It's got integrated GPS (with AGPS support).

I can't say there are cons; however this is what I would improve/implement in future versions:
-WCDMA 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
-5 MP camera with Carl-Zeiss Optics and Xenon flash (like N82).
-Camera lens cover (either like N73 or N82).
-Multiaxis (3 or 6-way) Accelerometer (like N82/N95).
-Pencil Key (Nokia removed this extremely useful key from newer phones; I got used to it with my previous N73)
-Magnetometer (Compass) like 6210 Navigator.

Hope this is useful for anyone thinking of buying this phone.

It's worth every single cent!!!

Regards,
Gonza

One of the worst smart phones ever!!
I bought this smart phone and sold it within 8 months, I bought it as all in one smart phone, but unfortunately I was very disappointed. Very, very slow with 2GB memory card, also it doesn't support most common Audio\Video files such as WMA, WMV, AVI, MPEG and (MP3\WAV) some sound channels and rate. Slow application loader and file explorer. The battery's life 90 minutes maximum when browsing the net with full charge. If you are looking for a smart phone or PDA, choose the HTC.

Solid, capable with caveats.
You could hardly ask for more feature-wise. This phone has every imaginable capability a cell phone/pda/microPC could offer. In many ways, it is far superior to the vaunted iPhone. to wit:

-has buttons. this has to be said. in usability (if not aesthetics) buttons beat touch screen any day.
-OPEN OS. Symbian is awesome because no one needs to grovel at the feet of a finicky, arbitrary bureaucracy to get their application out there. What this means for you? TONS of free and cheap apps. Youtube, podcast directly to phone(!), skype+ ALL instant messaging apps, etc you can even turn the phone INTO a wireless hotspot with free app
-True bluetooth. unlike... other phones the E90 readily talks to other phones, car stereos, etc..,
-great interface software for PC
-Internal storage using microSD (up to 8GB)
-pretty good 3.2MP camera/video
-very capable web browser and pages display very well on the widescreen

However, some drawbacks:
-basically, ugly. Not the worst we've seen but when closed the chubby candy-bar just ain't sexy.
-User interface is not the best and nowhere near as slick, polished and easy as certain fruit-branded phones or even the less-capable Sidekick line

Those arnt too big a deal to me but this is.. the single biggest design FLAW is the widescreen. Having a large screen is great.. but the implementation is poor. The screen is great for web browsing but not much else. The screen is too narrow but that rarely matters because the native media software (realplayer) and even alternate software such as Core Media Player or EmTube can't even use the screen. They remain confined to a square in the middle no matter what options you play with. The basic problem here is this phone uses the same OS version other phones with just a standard tiny cell screen use. Also the standard control buttons are frequently oriented wrong (app expects you are using a standard screen 90 degrees off) The OS is simply not built to use a bigger, wide aspect screen. There are some work-arounds for this, but none easy. A future firmware or symbian software update might help. Its a sore spot on an otherwise awesome product.

E90 good choice
just an office, all the facilities are there and it is really professional. maybe it is not so small and the processor is not a lighting.

E90, upgrading from a 9300
I upgraded to an E90 after 1.5 years using a Nokia 9300 to it's limits.

My impression is that they made a list of every single complaint I had about the 9300 and addressed each of them! It's a fantastic cell phone and I love it.

- on the 9300 I didn't even bother looking at the outside S40 screen, I opened it each time even to place a call; with the E90, switching seamlessly from screen to screen just by opening and closing the phone, I find myself using the outside screen more and more, I even T9 type text in the numeric keypad!... the outside screen is great for one hand operation, great not to call too much attention to a full qwerty phone when I don't want to and great for the casual email read... I think if I didn't have the option of switching to the internal big and high-resolution screen I'd find myself cursing the QVGA outside screen, but knowing I have the option of a big screen at any time makes me more tolerant to the smaller resolution outside screen and I use it a lot

- the keyboard back-light is something you don't use all the time but when you do you realize how incredibly great it is

- the inside screen, with even higher resolution than on the 9300 is absolutely great

- the keyboard could be a little softer but the truth is that I find myself making less typing mistakes than with the 9300; the new layout is much better and the "joystick" much more precise

- vibrating alert is great but I miss the timed mode that makes it come back to the ringing General profile at a specified time

- the camera could have an optical zoom but it's good enough like it is... 640*480 30fps video is great

- sound recording and playback has very good quality

- the interface to the WiFi interface and to the GPRS/EDGE/3G APNs is great and makes me confident I'm in control of what is being used or not, unlike some complaints I heard with WM6 that you suddenly find yourself using EDGE when you wanted wifi, etc

- the GPS and Nokia Maps is awesome but I also use Google Maps a lot with it

- firmware/software upgrade through PC Suite is a blessing

- I had a 9300 (no WiFi) and an unlimited data plan, I find myself using GPRS (or EDGE or 3G) data much more often than WiFi in the E90 but in some situations, specially when you are away from your country and GPRS data is expensive, Wifi is very much welcome

- the 9300 Internet browser was a joke... very slow! when I found Opera Mini for it I never looked back to the internal browser; on the E90 the internal browser is very good, and the ability to play Flash and even YouTube video is very interesting

The single complaint I have about it is that it's S60 and not S80... the larger availability of software is welcome but I miss having a menu, I miss having more qwerty keyboard shortcuts, I miss the more elaborate S80 Calendar application...

Not S60/S80 related:

The few keyboard shortcuts it has are totally undocumented, I can't understand why.

Another complaint is the lack of a "open new window" command on the Internet browser... it does that when you click a link that instructs is to open a new window, but this command is not in the browser interface! I'd also like the Back command not to reload the page... would make it faster!

Last point: don't make the mistake of buying this phone and using a limited or expensive data plan, you'll be missing a lot!

Design
Weighing in at an ultra-light 3.1-ounces, the super-slim W375 fits comfortably in your hand and flips open effortlessly to reveal a large and vivid full-color 128 x 160 screen and streamlined keypad. Instead of an external LCD, the W375 sports a series of unique, light-up icons that signal new messages, low battery, and other events. The VGA camera lens is housed above this display. Up/down buttons are placed on the left side for volume control while an internal antenna supplements the phone's sleek design. Most of the phone's features and on-screen menus are controlled by a five-way center button on the handset's backlit control pad. Use the phone's stereo-compatible 2.5mm headset jack with your favorite stereo earphones or handsfree headset. Lastly, charging and USB data connectivity can be found on the bottom edge of the phone.

Calling Features
The W375's internal phonebook can hold up to 100 contacts and includes picture phonebook options. The phone also supports polyphonic ringtones as well as MP3 ringers, allowing you to use portions of your favorite songs to alert you to incoming calls. There's even an included application, MotoMixer, that lets you mix your own ringtones, while the built-in, office-quality speakerphone makes it easy to talk without having the phone to your ear.

Messaging, Internet, and Tools
Delivering a full suite of organizational features, the Motorola W375 makes juggling business and pleasure seamless. You can manage your schedule via the included calendar and alarm clock, keep track of colleagues with vCard capabilities, or host a meeting over the integrated speakerphone. You can even transfer media files such as pictures and polyphonic ringtones from your PC through the phone's supported USB cable option. There's even an included currency converter.

The W375 is a messaging and wireless Internet powerhouse. Support is built in for sending and receiving pictures, text, graphics, sound, and video via messages. When used in combination with the phone's built-in VGA camera, MMS opens up a whole new world of messaging fun. The phone ships with a built-in email client, and there's also a built-in WAP 2.0 Web browser for fast mobile Web browsing. iTap text entry, which is a technology that makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets, is built into the unit--a plus for mobile email and text messaging users.

Getting on the Internet is easy with the W375 as it supports the GPRS connection protocol. When used with a carrier data plan (not included) and the phone's USB data capability, the phone can be used as a wireless modem for laptops and PDAs.

The W375 has it covered when you need to turn downtime into fun time. Play pre-loaded games, or download and personalize your phone with the latest MP3 ringtones. Just Ok....
I like the look of, but reception is bad most of the time.... My old cheap Nokia has a way better reception wherever I am...But the battery life is the best I ever had. I guess is good where you have a strong signal, otherwise is a problem.

Basic
Its a phone. It makes calls, it sends text messages, and can even take some pictures. If you're sharp, you can upload a custom ringtone to the phone.
Can be pretty slow...typing a text message takes a while, since the text doesn't show up for half a second to a second. Address book searching and scrolling is similar; don't press a button a few times to scroll down one thing, you will end up at the bottom.

No bluetooth or USB connection
I learned the hard way that not all phones have bluetooth. I went to sync up my phone book with my computer and... hey, where's the bluetooth?! So, I though, ok, no problem, I'll just sync over the USB connection. On a mac, that doesn't work either! The mac iSync program doesn't support this model. So, if you don't mind not being able to sync your phone numbers, this phone might work fine for you, otherwise, get something with bluetooth.

NOT QUAD BAND
Product in perfect condition, but not a quad band as described when i bougth it, I need the phone to use it in another country and didnt work, very unsatisfied and can't returned because i'm not at the US.

great phone for the price
i bought this cell for my mom as she said she wanted a simple phone.. this phone does the job its nothing fancy but it works. i would recommend this phone to anyone who is looking for a replacement phone. i only rated it 4 stars because it does not have bluetooth.

Amazon.com Hands-on Review:
Motorola's PEBL U6 is the second model in Motorola's high-end "four-letter word" line, following the super popular RAZR V3. The PEBL takes some of the same materials and technologies used in the RAZR, and packages them into a completely different kind of clamshell handset. While the RAZR is all about thin, sharp angles, the PEBL is more about design, making use of soft curves and smooth lines throughout.

Screen shots from the PEBL.

The graphite black finish on the smooth, rounded exterior of the PEBL U6 manages to appear very glossy while still having a visual texture to it. The effect is very cool in person, but the downside is that the phone is an absolute magnet for fingerprints. But that's just the cost of high fashion, isn't it?

The PEBL's biggest claim to fame is perhaps not its shape and look, but its unique opening mechanism. A series of custom hinges, a dampening device, and some magnets allow the PEBL U6 to be opened up one-handed in a very smooth, elegant manner. When holding the device, you simply use your thumb to pull the top cover towards the bottom of the device a bit, which releases the magnetic latch that keeps the spring-loaded opening mechanism at bay. At that point you simply move your thumb out of the way and let the spring do its job. The motion is smooth and slow enough for the device to maintain its balance.

Once open, the PEBL's unusual keypad is ready for use. The directional controller and its center select button are very typical of mobile phones, but the rest of the keypad builds on some of the unique design elements we saw in the RAZR's keypad. The PEBL's keypad and softkeys are completely flat. The actual buttons are hidden behind a single sheet of metal that has a bit of give to it, allowing finger pressure to make its way to the switches underneath. Thin strips of translucent material let light filter in from behind, just as they do on the RAZR's keypad. The net result is a very distinct-looking keypad that probably sacrifices a little too much functionality in the name of fashion. Individual keys are simply much easier to find and press, even if they don't look nearly as sharp.

The inner workings of the PEBL U6 seem to be stock Motorola. The handset comes in two variations, each of which supports three GSM frequency bands and EDGE data. The North American version supports the 850, 900, 1800, and 1900 Mhz bands. The internal display is a 262k-color unit with a pixel resolution of 176x220. The battery should be good for over 6 and a half hours of talk time, or up to as long as 10 days of standby time according to Motorola. Bluetooth support more than makes up for a lack of infrared connectivity. The only aspect that seems a bit dated is the PEBL's VGA camera. For a high-end handset like the PEBL, you certainly would expect more resolution in the camera.

Other highlights include 5 MB of internal storage that can be used for MP3 or MIDI ringtones, photos and video clips, and downloaded Java games and applications. The addition of speaker-independent voice dialing and voice commands are welcome, and the PEBL's relatively low weight of 3.7 ounces (110 g) makes it quite pocketable.

Pros:

  • Unique design
  • Automatic opening mechanism
  • Bluetooth

Cons:

  • Low-resolution camera
  • Difficult keypad

Motorola's PEBL U6 is a unique handset. Where it goes, stares and longing gazes will follow. It might not have the full range of high-end features inside, but for the see-and-be-seen crowd, it probably has everything to get the job done.

Really very nice Phone
The green color on the web page has a more 'sage' look, the actual phone is slightly more yellow-green, and metallic, which came as a disappointment, however, I really like this phone - it is a beautiful design inside and out. I have only used standard texting and call features, but it is very robust, easy to use and to notch design.

This phone was of no use to me. The phone was in chinese and so was the manual. This was not the phone amazon advertised. The phone I ordered was in english and unlocked. Amazon would not replace it for another one. Buyer beware.

great phone
this is a great little phone..my carrier is cingular...and the phone is t-mobile..but no worries...i just put my sim card in and it works...
only one minor problem..i cant access the web to download ringtones..but i really dont care about that at all..

best motorola since v60
Honestly, I own this phone in black and I've had it for a year and it is a great phone. I hated my razr and bought this unlocked from Motorola's website. Other than the issues of having to program all the gateways and codes for your carrier so that the texting and multimedia messages will work, everything is great. I highly recommend this phone.
