Good!
Nice and convenient phone. Since it's unlocked, works with our family plan.
Good price too!

Excellent!!!
If you're looking for a simple, but with all that you need now a days, hare you have it. Is perfect, small, slime, cheap, good appearance, easy to use.
JUST THE BASIC, no more, no less. If is just to call, sms, and some pictures is great!

The way to go
The Nokia 2630 is a good practical phone with a useful camera and speakerphone. There's nothing more useful than a speakerphone when waiting on hold. The FM radio is an added benefit although it requires that you have earphones handy in your pocket or purse.

I threw away my free flip-phone from the provider (actually I stashed it in a drawer) and shopped for a phone with the features I wanted. Buying an unlocked phone is a lot cheaper than upgrading from my service provider.

The Nokia 2630 is really thin making it great for a pocket phone. The best part is that it has no side buttons to accidentally push that hang-up on the caller when you reach in your pocket to get the phone. The sound quality could be a little better especially in noisy environments but I haven't found that to be a major problem. All in all I am quite satisfied.

Nokia 2630 review
This is a very good value for your money. I love the slim built and compared to the higher end phones there is not much difference as it relates to features.Gallery storage space could have been more but with that price I cant ask for much more. The FM radio is very handy although it would have been nice if the radio could work without the earphones. My coworker has a higher end nokia but she loves mine but I love it more.Lovely phone.

Good basic phone for the price. Not without blemishes.
I bought this phone as a replacement for my Nokia E51 business smartphone. I know this choice sounds odd. I just accidentally dropped my E51 in water and needed an inexpensive phone I can use before I can get a free upgrade from AT&T.

This phone is slim and build quality is good for the price. As for the low call/speakerphone volume, you can actually increase it (and it gets really loud). I assigned the "volume" function to one of the keys (Settings > My Shortcuts) and now can adjust the volume (even while you talk). Reception is above average.

What's not so good about this phone is its grainy low resolution low color depth screen. It reminds me of one of the first phones I had back in the early 2000s. And of course, its basic functionality and lack of many features. However, if you need a phone to make/receive calls, this little phone is right for you.

Phone Features
The LG Shine ME770 is entirely about fashion, convenience, and usability. The built in MMS editor allows the user to create convenient messaging templates for fast MMS messages, as well as the usual ability to create SMS messaging templates. And to make messaging even easier on the Shine, the phone comes stock with built-in T9 text entry, which is a technology that makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets--a definite plus for mobile email and text messaging users.

When you need to check your email, or browse the Web for the nearest movie theatre and showtimes, use the phone's advanced WAP 2.0 browser. Find what you need fast over the supported GPRS transfer protocol. And with the phone's built-in document viewer you can view and transport .ppt, .doc, .pdf, .xls, and .txt files. A number of handy software tools are bundled with the Shine including a calendar, an alarm clock, a calculator, a stopwatch timer, a digital note pad, and a vibrating alert alarm.

Great phone
Great phone and great customer service from Amazon. I lost this phone during shipment and Amazon were kind enough to replace it. Thank you Amazon! God bless.

its just alright
this phone is just alright for me. unfortunately my service provider, at&t will not allow me to use the full functions of the phone. the phone is small, thin, and light. very good on pocket space. what i did not like was the fact that the ring and voice volume was extrmely low. if you work or play in loud areas you will not hear this phone. i also did not like the choice of ring tones which come with the phone. no plain rings just techno-ish beats. not for me.

Not the US version as stated in the Product Description
I bought this phone as a B-Day present for my wife and am in the process of setting it up for her. As stated by "mnerd'" in his review this is indeed not the US version and is from the Spanish Carrier Movistar. I like the look and feel of the phone so far and I think my wife will too. Only time will tell if works out and if I can get the mobile browser or emocion as it's called on this handset to work. If I don't I am not too worried as my wife does not have a data contract. I can confirm though that it does work with the ATT/Cingular network for calls.

Nice phone but stopped working
Phone is nice in appearance but it stopped working two weeks after i started using it. Refund procedures is in process.
I addition, no USB cable was included in the package as advertised.

Just a good looking phone
I bought the LG ME770 and I was impressed for it's looks and size (small candy type phone). I should have to say that the USB cable was not included like it said in the phone's description. The micro SD slot is difficult and delicate to operate and you have to extract the battery everytime to insert the external memory. Should be careful with this. Ah!! there's no speaker phone for atending and make calls.

LG KE 850 Prada Unlocked Cell Phone with 2 MP Camera, MP3/Video Player, MicroSD Slot--International Version with Warranty (Black)
Binding: Wireless Phone Accessory
Manufacturer: LGIC
Amazon.com Review:
Offering a sophisticated design developed with Italian luxury fashion house Prada that's mixed with a cutting edge user interface technology from LG, the tri-band PRADA Phone by LG (KE850) brings much more to the party than just stunning good looks. Its minimalist, black-tie industrial design has been complemented by a 3-inch touch screen that enables you to control virtually all the phone's functions with just your finger--no stylus needed. It's also loaded with bounty of features you expect from a top-of-the-line mobile phone: 2-megapixel camera with Schneider-Kreuznach optics, Bluetooth connectivity for stereo headphones, multi-format digital audio player, FM radio, MicroSD expansion, and PIM organizer applications to keep you on schedule.

Sleekly designed with a gorgeous black-and-silver fashion/industrial look, the PRADA phone measures just 0.5-inches thin.

Turn the PRADA Phone over to take 400 x 240-pixel widescreen video or 2-megapixel still photos.
This unlocked cell phone can be used with a GSM/GPRS network service provider and it provides tri-band connectivity compatible with the following frequencies: 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 1900 MHz. It's compatible across T-Mobile's nationwide network (which uses the 1900 MHz frequency). However, this phone may not work in all of the U.S. on AT&T's network, as some areas provide overlapping 850/1900 MHz coverage while others are covered solely by the 850 MHz frequency. View coverage maps for AT&T's 850 MHz and 1900 MHz frequencies (links open in a new window).

The phone can also handle high-speed data connectivity via EDGE data networks, which is fast enough to support a wide range of advanced data services (with average data speeds between 75-135Kbps), including video and music clips, full picture and video messaging, high-speed color Internet access, and email on the go. It does not come with a SIM card, and it requires that you provide a SIM card for usage with your selected service provider.

Phone Features
Amazingly small with a body that measures 3.9 x 2.1 x 0.5 inches, the PRADA Phone weighs just 3 ounces (50 percent less than the Apple iPhone). The candybar has an understated, Avante-Garde design that resembles a highly styled high-definition television. It features a piano-black casing on the back and on the front surrounding the screen, and its features are softened by gently rounded corners. The sides are accented by a polished silver metal.

You'll interact with the PRADA Phone primarily with your finger on the 3-inch (diagonal) touchscreen, which has a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels and a display capability of 256K colors. The Flash-based user interface displays glowing icons that disappear when not in use to reveal a stark black Prada theme. However, the UI can be changed to one of three pre-loaded themes--the Butterfly and Fish themes actually place a small creature on the standby screen that can follow your finger around. The standby screen is also home to the clock, which is operated with finger taps and can be dragged around the screen. The PRADA Phone offers a virtual numeric keypad, instead of a virtual QWERTY keyboard, for dialing of numbers and writing text messages (with help from the integrated T9 predictive text entry technology). The main menu system is arranged like tabbed folder pages full of icons and is intuitive and quick to learn.

At just 3 ounces, the PRADA Phone is less than half the size of Apple's iPhone.
The display can't be used with a stylus because of its capacitive touchscreen technology, which requires a human touch. Coated with a material that stores electrical charges, this capacitive touchscreen uses electro-conductivity to sense your touch and then sends precise horizontal and vertical location information to the processor about the charge that gets drawn at the point of contact.

Unlike Apple's iPhone, the PRADA Phone does have a number of real off-screen buttons and controls. The call control and back keys are on the front of the device, a lock key and a multi-function camera/music key are on the right edge, and the ring profiles key, volume control, and charger/headset port are located on the left edge.

The 2-megapixel, auto-focus camera features a lens made by Germany's Schneider-Kreuznach, which is known for it's high level of optics quality. It tops out at a resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels, but also offers a range of resolution choices down to 320 x 240 pixels. It includes a self-timer, three quality modes, four color effects, white balance settings, a choice of shutter sounds, and a multishot mode. You can also shoot video clips with several resolution choices (including 400 x 240-pixel widescreen, matching the PRADA Phone's screen, and the more standard 176 x 144 QCIF).

The Bluetooth version 2.0 wireless connectivity includes profiles for communication headset, data transfer and the A2DP Bluetooth advanced audio profile, which enables you to stream audio to a pair of compatible Bluetooth stereo headphones. The integrated digital audio player offers support for a variety of formats (MP3, AAC, AAC+, WMA, RA), as does the video player (MPEG4, H.263, H.264). Your entertainment options are expanded even further with a built-in FM radio (which is used in tandem with the included headset attached, as it serves as the antenna).

While not fully considered a smartphone, the PRADA Phone comes equipped with document viewers offering compatibility with today's most widely recognized file formats, including text files, PDFs and Microsoft Office documents--Word (.doc), Excel (.xls), and PowerPoint (.ppt) files. It also includes a full range of personal information management (PIM) organizer applications (calendar, to do list, world clock, unit converter, and calculator). With its fast USB 2.0 connection, the unit can also be used as a mass storage device. The phone has an expansion slot for MicroSD memory cards, which currently provide a maximum capacity of 4 GB of storage (as of August 2007).

Other features include:

  • Phonebook stores up to 1000 contact entries with up to four numbers, one e-mail address, and a memo field for each entry
  • Call log records 40 dialed/received/missed calls
  • Support for polyphonic and MP3-based ringtones (40 channels)
  • Vibration mode
  • Pre-loaded games: Halloween Fever, Photo Puzzle, Virus, Pipe
  • Proprietary port for headset jack
  • Speakerphone for handsfree communication; voice recorder
  • SMTP and POP3 email
  • SMS and MMS messaging
  • WAP 2.0 Web browser

The unique UMenu feature gives you one-click access for a personalized selection of your most frequently used phone functions. Just click on the top button of the navigation scroll to recall these functions or modify them when your priority change. The uTrack function significantly increases your chances of recovering a lost or stolen phone by sending an SMS message to a pre-designated number to alert you of when your mobile's SIM card is changed as well as its location. This helpful feature enables you to keep track of your mobile, even when it is no longer in your possession.

The E250 has all the bases covered when it comes to messaging. Support is built in for sending and receiving text, video, graphics and sound via messages. It also enables you to check your email on the go (supporting POP3, IMAP4, and SMTP protocols). T9 text entry, which is a technology that makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets, is built into the unit--a plus for mobile text messaging users.

This phone provides Bluetooth version 2.0 wireless connectivity, and includes profiles for communication headset, handsfree car kits, audio/video remote control, and printing. You can connect your laptop (either via Bluetooth or wired USB) and enjoy dial-up networking (DUN)--surf the Internet, send email, and access files from a server. And with the A2DP Bluetooth profile, you can stream your music to a pair of compatible Bluetooth stereo headphones.

The phone is equipped with an audio player supporting MP3, AAC and AAC+ formats, as well as dual stereo speakers with virtual surround sound technology. HANDY
Comes in pretty handy, I can block pesty calls and even text messages.Loads of features and easy to use.

Disappointed
We purchased this to replace an older phone. The phone looks great however, we could not get it to connect with our service. Even though it says unlocked the company said he was European only. We even took it to our local service AT&T and it just wouldn't connect. We were very disappointed.

Value for Money
I have been using this phone for almost 2 weeks now with no complaints.

Pros:

1. Battery lasts 5-6 days with normal usage.
2. Very ellegant looks. Received good comments from freinds and colleagues.
3. Menu options and call quality is very decent.
4. Has almost all features you expect from new generation phones.
5. Good value for money.

Cons:

1. No games.

Design
The LG Shine is entirely about fashion, convenience, and usability. The ultra-thin, stylish slider design always keeps the unobtrusive internal antenna safely tucked away--always protected from snags or breaking, while the protective and alluring properties of stainless steel add to the phone's durability and style. The 262,000-color, 240 x 320 display is hidden when inactive, a key feature to save battery life, or when keeping a low profile is a must. Basic function keys and media control keys located just below the display are still accessible when the slider is shut, and the slider can be opened to reveal a handsome backlit keypad.

A multi-function scroll key located on the front of the device makes navigation an easy task, allowing for easy navigation of settings, contacts, messages, documents, photos, and videos with minimum effort. Meanwhile, the charging port, USB connection port, volume keys, music player activation key, and a camera key can all be found on the handset's left side. The unit's advanced camera lens and flash can be found on the backside, just above the battery cover. The phone also includes a memory card slot to boost the phone's internal memory.

Calling Features
The Shine boasts powerful calling functions, such as speaker independent voice dialing, which makes it easy to call contacts by simply saying their names. No prior voice training is required and you can even speak individual digits to the phone for quick dialing of numbers you know by heart. And because the Shine is Bluetooth enabled, wireless headsets can be configured with the phone for total handsfree operation.

Messaging, Internet and Tools
The phone's support for multimedia messaging means that text, photos, video, and audio can be sent with ease. When used in combination with the Shine's built-in camera, MMS opens up a whole new world of messaging fun.

Connect the Shine to a PC using the supplied USB cable and it will become a mass storage device. Drag and drop files such as music, photos, videos, and more straight to the phone and you can carry them with you wherever you go. No software is required for the PC; simply plug and play.

Imaging and Entertainment
The Shine arrives Java enabled, allowing you to play the latest games--a requisite for any high-end fashion phone. The Shine even comes stock with embedded games, and of course, more games can always be downloaded from the Web and loaded onto the phone via convenient USB and Bluetooth connectivity.

Into taking pictures or carrying your music with you everywhere? The Shine's 2.0-megapixel digital camera features a flash, a 2x digital zoom, a multi shot mode, and a photo album feature. The camera also offers up to one hour of video capture. When it's time for music, the Shine boasts an advanced built-in music player. Load up all your favorite music on memory cards, and take your favorite music with you. You can also take advantage of the Shine's Bluetooth wireless headset capability, allowing you to hook up a pair of Bluetooth stereo headphones.

The Shine also supports Flight Mode meaning that the phone's calling abilities are disabled so you can still listen to music, watch videos, play Java games, and more in locations where mobile phones are prohibited, such as aboard airplanes.

On the fence about LG KE 970 (Shine)
I bought my LG KE 970 in early November to use with AT&T account in San Jose, area. Overall I am on the fence with this phone :-).

Basic feature functionality is good. What makes me un-easy are two things:
1- This phone does not have voice dial. This is critical functionality in US and California
2- Phone goes between AT&T and T-Mobile, which causes roaming charge to subscriber

A piece of ART!
I really needed a phone that could replace my nokia N75..then i found this ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS SHINY BLING here at AMAZON.COM. In person, the phone really catches your sense sight because of its shiny silver finish and its handy screen mirror! Truly, I'm Glad i have this phone ryt now, cause i really need a nice but a sophisticated looking phone that has also a nice price tag on it..the features are great; the crisp sound quality and superb clear display quality..However, it has some flaws to consider..( darn..) the Battery life is kinda weak..(buy a car charger to solve it!), and the keypads are kinda hard press when I TXT (but u can deal with it later on)..
I recommend this piece of art to all u guys who are looking for a great looking phone and may bring SHINE, SHINE, SHINE to your Life!
Peace Mates! lol

Definitely born to shine!
I have been drooling over this phone ever since I first saw the teasers online last year prior to it's release. I finally, got around to ordering this last Christmas and I have to say that I'm quite pleased with it.

This replaced my blue Sony Ericsson Z610i which also had a nice and shiny surface. All in all, it's a great phone--looks great, user friendly, and has the basic fun things you would expect in a phone: great camera for stills and video (of course for serious picture-taking I use my Canon digicam), mp3 player, games, etc. I really liked the brightness and crispness of the screen as well and let's be honest--the phone looks really HOT.

Of course, it's not perfect--here are some irritations I have with the phone:

- fingerprinting on the screen. I know I should have expected this after owning the Z610i, but the weird thing was--before I removed the protective plastic from the screen I tested it first to check if it was going to leave fingerprints, it didn't. So I removed the film. But a few days after, the fingerprinting started. Weird, I know.

- No option for creating playlists in the mp3 player--it plays all the music files stored in the phone and memory card--and I mean ALL. Not to be too picky or anything but I really have no desire to listen to the default tones on the phone...(yes, I can just delete them but still...)and sometimes I would like to listen to certain songs without having to wait for the other 300+ other songs to finish first--you can skip to the next tracks but it's tedious.

- Only one port for the charger, headset, and usb cable. My first concern is that it might get damaged from over-use and from all the insertion and removal. The second thing is that I can't charge my phone while using the headset or usb cable which was something I am sued to doing with my Z610i.

All in all, it's a great little phone that has nice little features and makes you look good to boot.

Dumbest design. Do not buy!!!
This phone uses the same port for charging and headset. That means it cannot be charged while you are listening to the music. I normally use my commute time to charge the cellphone. Now I arrive at work or home with the drained battery. I didn't realize this flaw until I bought it.

On the Contrary..
This phone is not a bad phone, and the Hassle Free company it is shipped from is very responsive, cooperative and helpful. Its small, neat and cute. The one I received is durable, I have had mine for about over four months not. I did not get an instruction booklet with it- I received one in Spanish however the company emailed me a pdf of it in English. The only real con about this is NO Speaker phone, which I was a little bit upset about but what the heck. I like it. I use it as a mirror too.

Defective Cell phones
I got ripped off, I bougth two cell phones and they were both defective, the arrow buttons fell off the first day i used them. The phone is made out of cheap materials and the user interface is bad.The 2MP camera was the reason i got this cell phone, but trust me is bad ive seen cell phones with vga cameras that take better pictures then this phones 2MP camera. But what can you expect from a Mexican brand,if you are Looking for a cell phone buy a Nokia and dont buy it from this seller..Over all this is the worst internet buy i have ever made..
